International Jazz Day is an annual event celebrated on April 30th, established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2011. Every year, around 200 nations take part in International Jazz Day.
The number of people who are fond of jazz music is increasing day by day. It is also popular in Azerbaijan and is considered to be one of the favorite music genres of Azerbaijani people. Nowadays, there are a lot of musicians who are interested in this genre of music. And as a result of this, today there are rising stars of Azerbaijani jazz music, White Angels of Jazz. They teamed up to mark International Jazz Day with a new project called Ekalogic. And on April 30th they will amaze fans of jazz music in Azerbaijan with their great performances. The performance will blend electronic music with a distinctive style developed through the fusion of jazz and Azerbaijan's traditional improvisational music, known as jazz-mugham.
