We invite you to attend a double bill by Candoco Dance Company, the contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers, that will take place on 7 and 8 March 2017, at 19:00, at the Azerbaijan State Academic Drama Theatre. The project is organised in support with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Yarat Contemporary Art Space and Azerbaijan National Academic Drama theatre.

YARAT Freestyle: Javad Javadzade

Dear Friends, We invite you to spend the evening of March 14 in the company of talented contrabassist Javad Javadzade. Javad Javadzade graduated from the Uzeir Hajibeyov Baku Academy of Music, worked as soloist of the Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra, and later was appointed Principal Double Bass with the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra. He played under the baton of such conductors as Maestro Rauf Abdullayev, Nikoloz Rachveli, Ennio Morricone, Maxim Vengerov, Laurent Petitgirard, Peter Rundel, Ignat Solzhenitsyn and Sir Neville Marriner.

İnternational Jazz Day

Baku will celebrate the İnternational Jazz Day with a big gala concert, which will take place on the stage of the modern center of Mugam. Mugham Menter. American group Kennedy Administration, Rain Sulatanov, Isfar Sarabski and Vadim Abramov will become a special guest of the concert. Elnara Hasanli, Ruslan Huseynov, Elvin Bashirov and a number of musicians of the new generation will present the jazz of Azerbaijan.

Ken Stringfellow- Full Band Performance

Our guest, Ken Stringfellow is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and producer. Best known for his work with The Posies, R.E.M., and the re-formed Big Star, Stringfellow's discography includes more than 200 albums. Every year he makes a point to visit countries he has never seen, and make a concert there, connect with local musicians and of course, just, experience the place and the art life happening there. As a part of his 2018 tour, he is going to visit Baku and have 2 gigs at ETUD Café&Bar on 3rd and 4th of April. Do not hesitate to join us on these days and spend some nice and comfortable time with Ken on the stage. Our local musician friends are going to participate at gigs. So it's gonna be fun!
