Nizami Park was an ordinary green mass among the oil reservoirs when Nobel brothers accidentally noticed this place. They wanted to build their residence and created the garden of "Villa Petrolea".
In 1923, the garden was renamed the Lunacharsky garden.
In 1941, the park received the name of the Azerbaijani poet Nizami. In 2000, the park turned into an amusement park, but in 2005 it suspended its existence.
In 2018 group of young people start the Luna Project - the cultural hub for contemporary music, Art and entertainment.
