Address: ARTIM Project Space Old City (Icherisheher) Boyuk Gala Street 30, 001A

Sheyda Allahverdiyeva will show her video project ““Multifaceted identities of Azerbaijan”, when she interviewed women and men with different backgrounds, ages and interests and asked each of them to indicate up to five identity groups to which they think they belong. No response can be defined as right or wrong, nor does the project aim at indicating an absolute truth. Yet the interviews vividly illustrate how entrenched stereotypes are and open a door to discussion. After the video screening people are invited to discuss her work and how people see themselves going beyond topics of social and gender roles.
“The Multifaceted Identities of Azerbaijan” was commissioned by CHAI KHANA, a multi award-winning regional media platform reaching women, rural communities, minority groups, and conflict-affected communities in the Caucasus. Lead by women, the issue-driven multimedia platform aims to give voice to the under-represented across the region, amplifying their voices through dynamic human-focused storytelling, while providing mentorship to young journalists.

Mud volcanism is one of the most interesting natural geological phenomena on the Earth. Some geological, hydrogeological, and tectonic factors lead to the formation of mud volcanoes. When mixtures of gas, water, and some sediments expel at the surface of the Earth, and this process continues for a long period of time, then these mixtures take different external morphological shapes, and create mud volcanoes.
