"The exhibition of sculptures" exhibition

On the 14th of December The Museum of Modern Art will open the exhibition called “The exhibition of sculptures” by famous Azerbaijani artist and sculptor Zakir Mehtiyev. Zakir Mehtiyev was born in 1948. He graduated State Art School named by Azim Azimzadeh. He is also a graduate of Moscow State Art Academic Institute named by Surikov. In 1979 he was a member of Artists Union of USSR. He finished postgraduate studies of Art Academy of  USSR.

Since 2000 Zakir Mehtiyev has worked at the institute named by M.K. Ataturk in Turkey.

Zakir Mehtiyev is a participant of various exhibitions in Germany, Russia, Hungary, Finland, Turkey, England, Syria and Azerbaijan. He is an author of sculptures which were set up in Gabala (the monument in honor of Ismail bek Kutkashenli), in Baku (Shah Ismail Khatai), in Antakya (the monument in honor of M.K. Ataturk).

There will be represented about 35 sculptures at this exhibition.
