Today in assembly hall of the Museum Center the action devoted to 90-year-old anniversary of known Azerbaijan film director Tofik Tagizade will take place. Action is organised by the Culture and Tourism Ministry in common Cinema Fund. During an anniversary it will be told about a life and creativity of the director, the exhibition of photos of the master of the film also will take place.

In Art gallery "Absheron" opening of an exhibition of Art studio “Günəş” will take place. The studio exhibition is organised with organizational assistance of Central administrative board of youth and sports of Baku. At exhibition works of young artists – Sevda Kasimova, Fidan Babaeva, Aslan Rzaeva and Mustafa Mamedov  will be shown. On exposition 48 compositions executed by different technicians will be exposed. The exhibition of Art studio “Günəş” will last till June, 21st.

From June, 25 till June, 28th the Union of artists of Azerbaijan holds a personal art exhibition of talented artist Firangiz Gusejnova. Colour of pictures exposed on spectator court completely is conformable with the exhibition name – «Harmony of colour». As special visitors at an exhibition there will be the deserved actress of Russia Alsu with the spouse. Wishing familiarise with creativity of the artist can to visit an exhibition from June, 26 till June, 28th.

On June, 30th, at 15:00, in the Museum centre, will pass exhibition opening under the name “Paint of Caspian sea”, devoted to the 60 anniversary of the city of Sumgait. At an exhibition products of Sumgait artists and masters of an applied art will be shown. At an exhibition 16 artists, including products of the main artist of the city of Sumgait Vagif Nazirov will be exposed.

In Exhibition salon of the union of artists the personal exhibition of the artist and sculptor Aliev Magomed will take place. Painting and sculptural works of the master will be presented.

From September, 10 till September, 12th, within the limits of the project “Baku the capital of Islamic culture – 2009”, in Baku will take place I Baku book exhibition-fair. The exhibition which will be organised in the Museum centre, will pass from 10:00 till 19:00.  At opening ceremony of an exhibition which will take place on September, 10th, participation of some heads of the state organisations, representatives of 60 publishing houses operating in the country, and also delegations from 30 countries are expected.

On September, 18th in Day of national music in a house museum of Uzeir Gadzhibekov which is the founder of professional musical art of Azerbaijan, there will pass a numismatical exhibition. At the exposition medals with the image of the great figure will be presented. Also in a museum display of school statement on the basis of stories about U.Gadzhibekov is planned.

During a week will pass an exhibition, devoted to receipt of young talents in the Union of artists. Works in a various manner of painting will be presented.

The exhibition of painter Arif Bagirzade will open on September, 17th in Exhibition salon of the Union of Artists.

Simulacrum (from the Latin simulacrum - "likeness, similarity") — an image without the substance or qualities of the original. We present to your attention selected simulacra in painting, photography, poetry, and prose by young and defiant Azeri artists.

In Galleree of Arts of the Museum Center there will pass an exhibition devoted to 15 years of Contract of the Century and the 130 anniversary of Nobel in Azerbaijan. The exhibition will last a week.

In the Museum Center the film evening devoted to the 95 anniversary of National Actor Mamedrza Shejhzamanov will take place. The great actor of theatre and cinema, he worked at the Azerbaijan state academic drama theatre. Scenic images of Mamedrza Shejhzamanov differed the national colour and originality.

From October, 5 th till 10th in Baku the international festival of Islamic cookery will take place. The festival will pass in frameworks «Baku - capital of Islamic culture - 2009». Culinary specialists from the Islamic countries and also from Iceland, Serbia, the CIS countries will take part In action. In judges the chairman of the International federation of culinary specialists of Jussi Gudmarson, and also the president of federation of national creativity of Karmen Deperdio will enter.

Exhibition «Musical images in the Azerbaijan fine arts» will take place in Is art-exhibition salon within the limits of the International Week of Music.

In assembly hall of the Museum Center the film evening devoted to the 100 anniversary of the first film actress of Azerbaijan Izzet Orudzheva will take place. 

On September, 14th, 2009 at 19:00 in «Yeni Gallery» (the Baku Center of Arts) will take place an exclusive exhibition of the vinyl disks of 80th, the devoted memory of Muslim Eldarov. The talented sculptor, the artist, the schedule, the active public figure and unusual organizer Muslim Eldarov was the person of the big individuality, the leader possessing ability to carry away people behind self. 

In Baku the exhibition devoted to great Azerbaijan composer Uzeir Gadzhibekov will take place. We will notice that the exhibition will pass in frameworks of "Week of music of Uzeir».
