This year, AITF 2016, the region’s leading travel and tourism exhibition will mark its 15th anniversary. The region’s leading travel and tourism exhibition Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism exhibition AITF 2016 will be held on 7-9 April at Baku Expo Center.

The Yay Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the personal exhibition “UMWELT” by the artist Aida Mahmudova. Umwelt - the concept, formulated in 1909 by the biologist and philosopher Jakob von Uexküll, in an attempt to explain the fact that different animals in the same ecosystem react to different external signals. Creatures that have acute hearing and vision, perceive the world differently than beings endowed with an excellent sense of smell, or interacting with the external environment by means of ultrasonic waves and electric fields.

National Artist of Azerbaijan Huseyn Alirza oghlu Aliyev was born on the 22nd of April in 1911 in Jomardli countryside of Zangezur district. When he was 12 years old he created his first landscape. Since 1927 to 1932 Huseyn Aliyev studied at Baku Art College. In 1922-1931 his series of caricatures was published at the page of “Molla Nasreddin”magazine which he has collaborated with. He was the first Azerbaijani who graduated Leningrad (Saint-Petersburg) Academy of painting (1932-1935).

"Rock!" is the joint project of well-known photographers Rustam Huseynov and Tofig Rashidov, dedicated to Azeri rock as a unique music and social phenomenon and influencing upon the forming of the present music and social culture.

Chiaroscuro - Clair obscure, the play of light and shadow. The light and shadow.
